Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. As the only daughter of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the world of show business early, and ended up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she reached the age of 16. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was both critically and critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects through the years. One of these is the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, and the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Other roles she has held include being an official jury member for each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
